Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) is an independent public central university located in the Fursatganj Airstrip, Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. It is a specific institution and comes directly from the Government of India. It will be financed primarily by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Science and Technology, and collaboration with International Aerospace and Aviation organizations. The RGNAU being a particular agency institute will participate in the formulation of Indian aerospace and aviation policies also including military/strategic discussions, defense/armed aerospace technology, and the Space program. The Cabinet has approved the proposal to establish ” Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University” under the Act of Parliament under the administrative control of the Ministry of Civil Aviation as Central University. The university is conducting a number of EDPs/ MDPs to provide updated knowledge for mid-level and senior aviation professionals already engaged in their professions. RGNAU is to facilitate and promote aviation studies, teaching, training, research and by extension work in conjunction with the industry to achieve excellence in operations and management of all the sub-sectors within the aviation industry.
