Homi Bhabha National Institute, Regd. An office has also made important contributions to the development of research movement in the universities in the country. Through the Board of Research in Atomic Sciences (BRNS), it has supported the research programmes in the universities by backing well-defined projects. BRNS has the difference of being the first agency in the country for funding extra-mural research. In the past period, funding through BRNS has been meaningfully stepped up.
