The Higher Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal intimated the Chancellor to start implementing the provisions of JIS University Act, 2014 and start the academic doings from the Academic Session 2015-16. JISU has an objective to provide instructions, teaching, training, and research in various branches and specialized fields of Science, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Management, Law, Social Sciences and Education.
