Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, is positioned in the city of Hyderabad. With a wide network of 206 study centers spread throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh, the University has for its motto “Education at Your Entrance”. The University, the first of its kind in the Country was transported into being through an act of Andhra Pradesh State Government in August,1982. Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Open University on 26 October 1991 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The motto of the University is “EDUCATION FOR ALL”. Dr. B.R. AMBEDKAR INSTITUTE OF OPEN SCHOOLING (DRBRAIOS) want to play the role as a moderator between the public and government to take away the obstacles to make India Literate and developed.

Students must appear in Entrance Test to qualify and take admission in this university. 100 marks in the Entrance test, 25 marks in Group Discussion and Personal Interview 25 Marks which is organized by the university. Cast reservation facilities are also available for the students.
